The word perfect has a positive connotation in society and being a perfectionist (i.e, someone who has the drive to appear, feel and be perfect) is a desirable attribute. Although having the will to do something and doing it well every single time is indeed a desirable trait, becoming too focused on the results rather than the process and the progress could do more harm than good.
