At this stage of my career, its a rare occurrence that my "Mind is BLOWN" by the standard of customer service I receive from a business or service. However, I'm delighted to say that it happened to me last week and it was in the most unlikely of places. It wasn't in a Four Seasons Hotel, it wasn't flying Business Class with Virgin Atlantic. It wasn't even in one of the incredible salons that I know so well. I was buying a pair of sneakers in a sports store! Now you may be thinking, what does buying a pair of sneakers have to do with the salon business? The answer is NOTHING but at the same time EVERYTHING! Service is service and we can learn so much from businesses outside our own industry. This sports store have obviously put an incredible amount of time and energy into creating an EXCEPTIONAL level of customer service and training their team to create amazing consistency.
