Description
Ireland Black, is the Success Coach in Bowden and Spruce View. She facilitates the Youth Empowerment & Support (YES) program for both schools which uses a positive mental health focus to provide universal programming to students in Grades K-8. After receiving her degree in Psychology, Ireland chose to step away from her job as an Advanced Leader 1 Lifeguard in order to find a position that was better aligned with her future goals. The YES program is a perfect fit for her as she has not only been able to utilize her knowledge from obtaining her degree & to use the skills she developed volunteering with the RCMP but it allows her to continue to foster healthy and positive relationships with the students, staff and communities. Ireland believes that each child should have a good understanding of what it means to have positive mental health and continues to encourage students with her motto "You can do hard things". ---------- Sam Demma is a best-selling author and one of the most in-demand keynote speakers in the Education and Association sectors.
