Considering the content being what this is, the episodes are actually very digestible. However, given the beast Chinese history is, this isn’t a podcast you can absently or passively listen to… especially if you’ve no prior experience with the topic. I encourage listeners to engage actively, because the content is worth your attention.
After the first half dozen episodes—and I implore you to stick around at least that long—I highly recommend using the supplementary materials on the website for each episode.”

“I love history, but as an American, I don’t know much about early China. This balances learning with an easy, fun tone. It’s informative but not so technical that I feel bored or burned out on it. I’ve really enjoyed binging this series and I’m excited for new episodes to come out.”
