“Nice range of topics and time periods. Unlike a lot of history podcasts, this one doesn’t just focus on the ones with the most name recognition like the Ming, but topics like detailed histories a single city or region, special topics like a specific warlord, poetry or a fantastic series on tea. Worth listening to even if you’re not super interested in China because the stories are told in such an engaging manner.”

“A great story and a nice format - who could ask for more in a history podcast! A little humor helps move the story along. Not that it needed a lot of help so far. Even the drier parts, like discusions of sources and their accuracy are well presented and entertaining. Keep it up!”
