Denial of historical truth
I was initially excited to hear his take on Chinese history. However, within the first 11 minutes, the narrator referred to the time before Christ(BC) as before common era (BCE). The birth of Christ is a major historical fact upon which all human history is measured, regardless of who you believe Christ is. How can you trust someone’s historical analysis when they do not acknowledge such major historical facts?

I listen to a lot of history podcasts and this is one of the best. Chris Stewart has gotten better and better as he has found his voice and style. The episodes are nice and short, and Chris does a good job of telling the essential stories.

A solid narrative-history podcast on a topic on which many outside of China do not know so well. My only real problem with it is simply that its hard to keep track with the narrative some times, due to the alien nature of most Chinese names to my ear. But that sort of goes with the territory.
