First podcast I play
In the sea of history podcasts, a new episode of The History of China is the one I look for first. I like that it follows the more difficult sequential way of telling history. This way you see how each era evolved from the previous one. I feel this promotes understanding of sometimes difficult and violent periods. The style is clear and straightforward with occasional interesting asides. Sometimes contemporary events call for a special podcast or remembrance I find brave and most welcome. Thank you for reading.

More reviews of The History of China
The fact that Chinese names are so difficult to distinguish really disadvantages this podcast, the fact that the narrator has chosen this topic, means he's fairly courageous or passionate, or both. Subscribed and eargerly looking foward to future episodes.Read full review »

Informative without being overbearing. Definite recommendation for anyone who is interested in parts of Chinese history. Currently towards the end of the Han dynasty now, so round 200CE.

This is a well-researched, thoughtful, chronological history of China. The presentation and sound quality are good.
