Listen now
Description

Although the assignation of Sultan Suleiman I's first son Mustafa had more to do in the barbaric and ill-conceived succession practices, it was still the decision of the Sultan and it stained both his legacy, but also weakened the future of the empire by eliminating the most qualified heir of the Sultan.
