Ep. 110 - Luke Sick (Sacred Hoop)
Listen now
Description
Our guest Luke Sick is an Underground Bay Area hip-hop vet. This seminal group Sacred Hoop played an integral roll in the mid 90's mega-blast of underground rap tapes spawned in California and traded worldwide. Luke's psychedelic story-telling approach is like Slick Rick meets Andre Nickatina meets Charles Bukowski meets Norman Mailer. In the late aughts he's been releasing a mind-numbing amount of new projects on cassette all worth tracking down. If you may not really be that familiar with his work let this conversation be your gateway drug into a vast array of songs and albums. Enjoy and don't forget to help us spread the word!
