“I’ll start my review by stating that I’m one of the OG fans of Charmed. I am grateful that some of the cast have decided to do a rewatch podcast, as I believe this is as close as we’ll ever get to see a form of a Charmed reunion in audiovisual fashion. The obvious paradox is that we have only one of the four sisters to speak about a show whose narrative was around family bonds and “sisters which happened to be witches”. This creates an obvious problem but for reasons we all know let’s bypass this obvious problem and move on. The podcast needs a lot of work, structure and commitment. I appreciate having Drew in the role of the moderator but we need to see more structure in the conversation that actually breaks down each episode in acts and takes the listeners on a sequential journey. Then we need Holly and Brian (but mostly Holly) to show dedication and commitment to adhering to this structure and give us fans nuggets and insights that we want to know. Examples: story about a particular storyline, a conversation, magic that was cast, filming locations, clothes, music etc.. There is SO much in the first seasons to be talked about and shared with us. Holly, I know this isn’t fair on you having to take on the role of all four sisters on your shoulders, but hey, you’re going to have to. This is what we fans want to know. The inside stories with you Shannen, Alyssa and Rose - later on. Brian, I appreciate you being in this show and I am excited to see how your participation will evolve as we progress through the episodes. Finally, I think it’s amazing you’re having guest speakers (I won’t go into asking having other sisters as speakers, that’s a de facto ask) but when you do have guests, I’d love to hear about this particular episode, again in a structured way, rather than what’s new with them. That should come afterwards. I hope you onboard the feedback and I’d be listening closely.”
