About 15% of the world’s population live with some form of disability. Here in Australia, 1 in 5 people currently live with a disability. The IKEA vision is to create a better everyday life for the many people. This includes all individuals with different kinds of functional needs – from children to the elderly and everyone in between.   With the upcoming release of the OMTÄNKSAM range in Australia, IKEA is helping people overcome obstacles that make it difficult to enjoy an independent life by adding extra comfort and functionality.     In this episode, we chat with IKEA designer Iina Vuorivirta and Creative Leader Britt Monti about their work creating the OMTÄNKSAM range, the challenges and benefits of inclusive design and how IKEA is leading in this space.
