Like having *real* friends
I’m a mermaid, and I live under the sea. My only friend is a 500-year-old greenland shark who is blinded by the copepods attached to its corneas. I collect miller lite cans. It’s a boring life. But when a new Important Cinema Club episode drops I feel like I’m right there with Will and Justin on the cutting edge of the Toronto film scene. I remember one episode about a female director from Hong Kong who I didn’t care about and had never heard of. It didn’t matter! These guys are so fun to hang with that I enjoyed the podcast anyway. I love it when they bring up some random film person from the distant past and I’m like, “oh yeah, I remember that guy.” Well, they’ve watched every one of his movies and read a book about him. I appreciate the work they put in. Give them a shot.

I’ve been going back through the...Read full review »
