Description
I'm back home in sunny (yes, really!) Belfast, and I'm taking a break from sitting in pubs talking about martial arts with strangers to record a few podcast episodes. Thanks to the sound people at the Sunflower Public House, I've been able to use their stunning venue to welcome another guest to the pod; one third of Irish folk trio TRÚ (and my best mate) Zach Trouton.
Zach and I sat down over a few pints to talk about our early days making music together, the influence School of Rock had on us, playing Irish music together in Cardiff, TRÚ's brand new album and even some local ghost stories. Aren't I spoiling you lot?
TRÚ are one of the hottest bands in Ireland at the minute, and you can stream both their first record "No Fixed Abode," and their brand new second album "Eternity Near" right now. I personally recommend checking out their version of the song "County Down," a beautiful song telling the tale of a young man moving away from Ireland and the call of home.
And if you'd like to support the podcast, you can buy me a beer or a Dr Pepper with my PayPal link below (also in my Instagram bio!)
Inline G will ALWAYS be free of charge, but small donations of 3 euro/pounds/dollars help keep the lights on round here, if you can afford it x

We did it, ladies and gents and all in-between. 50 episodes of Inline G. Join me as I had 5 pints of Guinness and a Strawberry Ice vape and rated my top 5 flute pop culture moments. I also had a wee chat about the importance of creativity as an artist and how it’s essential to your mental...

Looking back to Pythagorean Theorem, I explain the origins of musical notes, the difference between Just Intonation and Equal Temperament, and how as a result; to truly play in tune as a flutist. I also tried my hand at my best Jordan Peterson impression, and had a dig at the people of England....
