Description
In this weeks episode I share Erin’s story who talks me through her one pregnancy and the birth of her son Jorge. Erin completely opened up sharing so much of her life throughout her pregnancy. She chats about the reality of an unplanned pregnancy, how she felt sharing her news with her family and how she was supported by the mental health services in the maternity hospital to help her through anxiety.  Throughout Erin’s story she speaks so fondly of specific people from midwives that supported her at antenatal appointments. A taxi driver that didn’t charge her fare and walked her to the door of the hospital. A midwife that stayed with her throughout Jorges birth and another who came to Erin’s bedside every two hours to help her feed and just check-in.  Erin also shares her breastfeeding experience which only recently came to and end after nearly two years.
