“lol @ Jeselnik saying that he tries to avoid trashing other comics. He does this every time there is a controversy: Louis, Shane, now Ari. In the Shane case it was even clear that he didn’t “get” what happened and had just heard an out of context clip (in reality Shane was making fun of racists but it was clipped in a misleading way, which makes Jeselnik about as intelligent as someone who watches cable news).
I didn’t find Ari’s edgelord tweet to be funny but caring so much about it that you’d trash someone on your podcast is kinda lame. The “cancel culture” discussion is played out and when Anthony feels the need to opine about someone’s mean words on Twitter he reminds me of JK Rowling in her mansion tweeting about trans people: why do you care? Isn’t it petty to waste your energy on this nonissue, as well as that of your listeners?
Props to him for admitting that he likes to see his colleagues go down though. At least he’s honest about being petty. That is sincerely alpha.
2 stars because Erica is cool and the book reviews are solid.”
