What I Needed
I first stumbled upon Dr. Peterson’s book 12 Rules after the tragic death of my father, but I was lost long before that as I struggled forward against the cold indifferent chaos that life had supplied in such plenty. I had already lost all sense of meaning and purpose long before cancer ravaged my father’s body. My religious upbringing, the worldview that was handed to me, crumbled between my fingers like sand and I began to sink into that sand, suffocating in the very place where I used to find refuge. Everything that I knew had been destabilized. I was in the wilderness. The unknown. This podcast, and Dr. Peterson’s work helped me to navigate this tumultuous time. I found stability and a modicum of meaning with which to stymie the ever flowing deluge of tragedy (which incidentally has never slowed down). I now feel equipped to fight again, and more importantly, willing to do so. I am (perhaps eternally) grateful for Dr. Peterson’s work.

I'm totally blown away by 3 things: finally, a professor, who is extremely educated and not on the verge of Marxism...Read full review »
