President Trump's Attorney General, Jeff Sessions, rescinded the Cole Memo on January 4, 2018 creating an atmosphere of national uncertainty for patients and dispensaries nationwide. The Rohrbacher-Blumenauer amendment expires on January 19, 2018 because a congressman named Pete Sessions from Texas did not allow a regular vote for it the last time so it has to be treated as a "continuing resolution." If the government shuts down because of DACA, the border wall, or some other issue, Arizona's dispensaries and patients will be vulnerable to federal interference for the first time in the history of our program.
