“I have been a fan of Jared’s and a Patreon subscriber for years. The new podcast format is losing me. I think it’s really missing the advertised mark of “razor sharp insights” - just sounds like a bunch of stoned bro comedians yelling into (poor quality) microphones about nothing. I don’t follow the segments and the entire podcast flow just seems off. I appreciate your desire to change up to format, even though it no longer aligns with my personal interests for podcast content. At minimum, I hope you can rediscover the higher production quality that used to be present on this podcast. The audio, lack of transition sounds, even the podcast description (it says “Jared Fried,” seriously?) feels very amateur. I can’t bear to give you 1/5 stars so giving my honest feedback instead. I will stay on Patreon for Coffee with J Train as long as you keep doing it!”
