On Saturday, April 30 The Adelphi University School of Social Work, on the Garden City Campus presented the "First-Ever“ BreaKING the Ice: Black Men’s Mental Health and Wellness Conference.” This conference highlighted the importance of mental health and wellness among Black men.  The conference was very well attended and hugely successful.  There were attendees from as far away as Atlanta, Michigan, Illinois, Maryland, North Carolina, and even Bermuda. The conference  featured a panel of 8 Black Male therapist, who were all Licensed Social Workers (Except for One).  Co-Organizer's, Ms. Schanica Pickens, MSW and the Assistant Dean at the Adelphi School of Social Work (https://www.adelphi.edu/social-work/) and Mr. Arron Muller, LCSW and CEO and Therapist at Life Matters Psychological Services (https://www.lifematterspsych.com/) did a great job.
