“I started listening to the podcast after being laid off in January this year. I found that Ken’s podcast and resources are insightful and helpful! I used the proximity principle to land my new job that starts this month! I have skills the new employer was looking for but I don’t think I would have gotten my foot in the door without reaching out to a current employee that gave me a referral. The HR recruiter told me “great people know great people and we love referrals”.
The first step in finding my new job was prayer! The rest of the steps were determining what I really wanted to do and going after it. The proximity principle takes time and don’t look for success overnight. Expect failure along the way until the right job comes along.
