“Thoroughly enjoying these podcasts! Really interesting conversations with brilliant musicians, giving wonderful insights into the inner workings of music and the industry. What’s not to like?
One small suggestion I would make is to encourage the interviewees to sit with a keyboard within reach during the conversations, to quickly illustrate some of the points they’re making. Of course this may not always be practical, depending on where the interview takes place, but most keys players have keys to hand. When Fraser was talking about “Baby, I’ll Wait”, he suddenly sang a phrase or two and it really brought what he was saying to life! There are moments when it would be much clearer and more engaging to hear what is being talked about (e.g. Andy Yeates suddenly referring to a Ic chord when talking about voicings, and it then having to be explained. Why not just play it?).
