Witty, Hilarious, and Intriguing.
This show is excellent, but I like to get the bad out of the way, and it’s NOT even bad. Just on my first listen, there are a lot of NPC characters, at first, but the show quickly tightens it’s focus on the main 3 character/players during the 2nd episode. I listened to this while doing laundry at 1.2x speed and I had a bit of a hard time keeping up with who’s who, so maybe don’t do that if you’re trying to be keen. But now for the good stuff. The players and the DM are not only hilarious but are very thoughtful as well. I laughed more times than I can count while listening to the only 4 episodes that are out at the time of this review, and I also fell in love with each of the main characters. Theyre all exploding with personality, but not in the way that makes them too unrealistic. They make you want to know how they respond in any situation, and they all have lovely responses. When the premise of the show kicks in, it KICKS, and you suddenly know 1000x more what’s going on, and it’s super interesting as well. I won’t spoil what sort of story this is so far. It’s one that you’ve probably seen a similar premise, but all the players make you want to know what happens because of the responsive and witty characters, and that’s even including the DM. Once I found out why this was good, I was hooked. Lastly, the editing is top notch, there’s a really good flow to it, little to no gaps, or weird leap in conversations due to rules or mechanics. I can tell real attention to detail and love is out into this project, and honestly, like for real honestly, I can’t wait to listen to what happens next.

I’m not normally a huge fan of time-travel stuff, but the way The Last Tapestry does it is just incredible. Everything about this show, from the setting to the original game mechanics, is just brilliant! Super engaged with this one and excited to hear what happens next.
