“Wow. I am a 26 year old woman who recently realized that I'm attracted to other women. I've dated men and been attracted to them, so I consider myself to be bisexual. I'm dating a completely amazing lesbian woman, and I'm not gonna lie, I'm in the process of falling for her HARD. Since I'm relatively new to LGBTQ+ culture, I have been obsessively seeking out all things related to women who love other women: music, tv shows, all the books in the world, and most recently podcasts. When I saw the title of the first episode of this podcast I expected it to be funny, or if actually offensive, then at least informative and interesting. Nope. Thank God none of the lesbians I know in real life would ever speak with such ignorance and hatred about bisexual women. We are all women who love women, why wouldn't we support one another? And no, bisexual women don't have sex with other women like they show you in porn produced for the male gaze. I can't believe that a person would even legitimately think that. How is that assumption not just as offensive as them labeling that porn as "lesbian"? Ugh. I really tried to give this podcast a chance, but I couldn't make it through half of the first episode. It's not worth listening to implications that my relationship with my girlfriend is somehow less valid or will be less satisfying to her because I'm bi, or to whatever other insults these ladies decide to throw our way. You know what? We can get enough of that crap from straight people.”
