4 Years Late
As I write this review I am 19 episodes in, and it is 12:45 AM EST, I can’t believe I am four years late to finding this amazing podcast. I recently finished listening to the Communio Sanctorum History of the Church podcast and was just searching names of random Church Fathers and Reformers and stumbled upon this amazing treasure. This has been my every day listen for a couple of weeks now, one episode to and one episode from, my way to my new job. I have to say the entertainment value is top notch for a church history buff like myself, especially as I have been reading through Luther’s Smaller Catechism and The Bondage of the Will. From what I can tell though I am fortunate to be so late to the game, because my hungry mind doesn’t have to wait between episodes. Thank you so much for all of the time and research you have put into this work. While I can’t necessarily say this podcast has the highest production quality regarding audio, I do strongly feel the podcaster hits the mark, every time, and never seems to miss a beat. I even have got my wife listening in her free time and she always said she would NEVER listen to a podcast. This is the first podcast I’ve ever felt compelled to review and the only one that has ever felt worthy of one. You can keep your murder mysteries and current political affairs, I’m gonna stick with this guy as long as he keeps putting them up. Come on 2020, if you can’t give us anything good, at least give us more ‘Life and Times of Martin Luther’.

Steve, wonderful show. You really helped set the stage for a little pilgrimage I went on while in Germany recently. I will definitely mention this show to my networks. Well done!

This podcast is fantastic. Steve obviously does his homework. As a graduate student in religion, and a Lutheran Pastor for the last 12 years, I appreciate both the authentic way Steve delivers the material and his well prepared interpretations of historical events. The podcast is timely being...Read full review »
