Part II This is the story of Tracie and her beautiful Bailey Boy. Tracie was 30 years old when she became a mother. Tracie and Bailey became a dynamic mother and son duo from the very beginning, they shared a unique, open, loving, trusting, adventurous and engaging mother-son bond. Tracie guided him through life as he gathered a large collection of family and friends that loved him wholeheartedly and Bailey returned that love with love, kindness and respect. Bailey chose to take his own life in 2017 when he was 19 years old. Leading up to his death Bailey had endured a rapid decline in his mental health and was a victim of a violent assault. Bailey left behind twenty-one messages and notes. These notes included words of advice, messages of thanks, his own eulogy and in his words that 'this' was the way for him. Tracie shares stories about her Bailey boy, how she continues everyday to navigate her immeasurable grief and learning to live life in the wake of the death of her only child.
