Description
This is the story of Merna and her beautiful daughter Kristen. Kristen was a loving, bright, happy young woman who would make fun happen wherever she went. She enjoyed spending time with her family, time at the family farm and shared a close bond with her two younger brothers. Merna says Kristen gave the best hugs and she gave a lot of them during her time here. In 2002 Kristen and a friend set off for a holiday. Tragically on this holiday her life was taken from her in the Bali Bombings. Merna shares with us the complexity of losing a loved one in such circumstances and the difficulty that comes with a grief that is so public. Merna gives an insight into the life of families thrush into the news and media at an intensely personal and devastating time in their lives. Special thanks to Merna for again publicly sharing such personal details about her family life. Merna is not only a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend but she is also an inspiration to women working in agriculture in Australia.
