This is the story of Nikki and Max. Nikki is mother to three sons, Julien, Max and Noah. Max was being lovingly nourished and growing during pregnancy but sadly he was diagnosed with severe hypoplastic left heart syndrome and would not be able to survives after birth. Nikki shares her pregnancy journey with Max and how difficult it is to say hello and good-bye at the same time. Nikki is passionate about opening up the discussion around pregnancy loss and the social taboos surrounding early pregnancy and the isolation women can feel. Max will forever be a part of the Petersen family and we thank Nikki and Max for the beautiful messages shared today.
