“This is a fantastic podcast for anyone looking to learn more about the Bible and who takes context and the meaning of God’s Holy Word seriously. I am so very thankful that I found this podcast during a time that I desperately needed to hear it!
I found Dawn on YouTube a few months ago while researching the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) and have been listening to her podcast ever since. My testimony: I had a very rude awakening about what is going on in the American Church starting about 2 years ago. A so-called friend of mine got caught up in the NAR, unbeknownst to me (and her). She was “traveling to heaven” at will, “manifesting” material goods, paying thousands to “learn how to activate and walk in her prophetic gift”, you name it. I then had a very uneasy/dark feeling when I visited her home. I warned her about her practices but I ignored the uneasy feelings. It wasn’t until I witnessed her turn into a haughty, egotistical, false prophet did I wake up. I began reading my Bible more, listening to various sermons online, and learning about the New Age practices and beliefs that have seeped into the church- and is now taking on a whole new life in “Hyper-Charismania”.
In the last 18 months or so, I learned that Christianity as I knew it, was actually the “Word of Faith” movement (I had no idea what that was or where it originated). I began to learn that a lot of the things I believed are incorrect and even heretical. I discovered that I was Biblically ILLITERATE. Almost ALL of the Bible verses I had memorized were applied completely out of context! And worse, I hadn’t taught my kids proper Biblical lessons and they’re practically all grown up! I felt so robbed thinking of all the YEARS of eisegetical sermons I sat through. (I didn’t even know the difference between exegesis vs eisegesis 2 years ago).
Needless to say, Dawn’s podcast has been extremely helpful and comforting as I am practically re-learning Christianity. I’m so glad I’m not alone! She is truly a godsend for those of us who really want to know what’s TRUE according to God’s Holy and Sufficient Word.”
