Vincent Gigante was born on March 29, 1928 in Manhattan, New York City, New York, USA. He was previously married to Olympia Grippa. He died on December 19, 2005 in Springfield, Missouri, USA. The current "family" was founded by Charles "Lucky" Luciano and was known as the Luciano crime family from 1931 to 1957, when it was renamed after boss Vito Genovese.
