With John Galliano For his Spring Summer 2021 Co-Ed collection, Maison Margiela’s Creative Director John Galliano opens the doors to the world of the Tango and the societal values associated with it – community, interdependency and primal, instinctive connection. Heroic cutting, storied garments and iconic wardrobe pieces become the main characters in a three-act tale moving from a Victorian wedding, a procession to a dance marathon. The designer illustrates how techniques developed in the Artisanal collection are artistically industrialized for ready-to-wear and the magic behind the numbers on the brand’s label.
