Immersive
Hi there, I feel a little like an anachronism coming to this podcast some time after its origins but that is the fun thing of it being out there on the www. I actually loved the short prequel stories the best, they did a great job introducing the world setting and then onto the novel. I would have preferred to have had Making The Cut to have more of the 'supernatural' beings as key characters rather than the human psychics. In saying that as a personal preference, I am still finding the story well crafted the characters having depth and personality. The full vocal cast adds substance to the listening experience and helps you to feel immersed. The other good thing is that I have found myself seeking out music utilised in the podcast and listening to other podcasts which have been mentioned; pass on the word. I find myself relating to many aspects of the Psi Corps of Babylon5 and wonder when Bester will walk in but Chris brings his own take to the whole thing with clear originality. I also enjoy the style which is in some ways similar to GURPS which I have always though has one of the better balances as to what you can do with the fantastic in a near real or make believe word. Keep up the good work, this is well worth a listen. Tim JAMES County Durham U.K.

The short stories were a good introduction, but the novel absolutely blew me away! I don't know how to describe it... I had started the novel...Read full review »

Chris Lester weaves a modern fantasy that is second to none. He has managed to take speculative fiction into the realm of high quality audio drama. You are drawn into the life and adventures of Daniel/Dani with charm wit and sophistication. I would put Metamor City up against any prime time...Read full review »
