What does it feel like to row across the Atlantic Ocean?  What motivates you to do something like that?  Toby Gregory, the Founder and Director of the Arabian Ocean Rowing team,  is here to tell us exactly what it felt like to row the first UAE-flagged boat across the Atlantic Ocean unsupported and unassisted.  Interestingly, more people have been to space and climbed Mount Everest than actually taking on this 5,000 km journey from the coast of Africa to Antigua.  So, having Toby share how he conceived the idea and what it took to go on this 40-day expedition with his teammates where they navigated everything from 40-foot waves, sleep deprivation and sea sickness was an amazing storm of astonishment, excitement and inspiration for us too!  The journey was also undertaken to raise awareness of marine pollution  with the UN Environment Programme Clean Seas team. Toby has been continuing that work with talks and workshops in the UAE since his return. During the conversation,  we also couldn’t help but take notes on being practitioners of experiencing joy, building an unwavering mindset for endurance and winning the day by focusing on achieving three things.  Toby’s story of courage in motion has given us a lot of food for thought and hope it does for you too.
