Good discussion with some caveats
One of the very best podcasts to go to for tennis conversation (Gill is probably the best recurring guest) but I’ve docked it a star for three things. 1) podcasts dropping too late during tournaments. You’ll get episodes discussing upcoming matches that have already happened by the time the episode drops. Needs faster turnaround. 2) the digressions can go on for far too long. One podcast I skipped through about 15 minutes of conversation opening the pod that had absolutely nothing to do with why I was listening to the pod in the first place. Digressions are fine only if they’re kept to a minimum. 3) Alex should probably let the guests talk a little more. He can dominate the convo a bit too much. This is the most minor of my criticisms though. Otherwise, I’m a fan! I hope this came across as “constructive criticism” because it’s one of the few tennis podcasts I can reliably turn to for really strong analysis. Just a couple things that could be done to improve the listener experience even more. Thanks for the show.

More reviews of The Mini-Break [Tennis Podcast]
Was looking for a replacement for the insufferable Tennis Podcast and this was perfect! I can’t always keep up with the smaller tournaments every week so I look for these recaps to keep up with the action every day. -@rublev_vv on twitter for the giveaway :)

Stay up to date on all things tennis. Unparalleled tennis coverage from Alex Gruskin and the Cracked Racquets crew.

Less than 5 minutes to discuss the women and more than 30 minutes to discuss the men. I see what’s going on here. Disappointing. Also seems ethically wrong to offer prizes for a 5 star review. Plus hypocritical to complain about Ben Rothenburg in one podcast, then praise him and have him as a...Read full review »
