An easy way to encourage the timid/ wary to enjoy what for me is one of the greatest books. I say books rather novels as novel would never describe what 'Moby Dick' is. It is sui generis. Enjoy the ecentricities. Cope with occasional tedium. But above all enjoy the language. This is the novel Shakespeare could have written or the committee that translated the King James version. One small complaint. I hope Tilda will not be the only woman. But why the first chapter ? 'Call me Ishmael'. The narrator identiifies himself and sets the tale in motion. Must be a male voice, surely ? From chapter 37 I have a problem downloading to iTunes ????
