Eric Paslay is a Nashville based Singer/Songwriter who has scored numerous #1's as both a songwriter and artist. Eric joins Country Music Made Me to discuss the musical influence of his family growing-up, how music helped guide his journey but was never the main focus until College when he attended Middle Tennessee State to study Music Business and dove headfirst into the world of songwriting. Eric and Brendan talk about his early years in Nashville, how becoming a successful songwriter made it difficult to kick-start an artist career, and what it was like working within and learning the business behind becoming a successful artist. Eric explains what it's been like navigating the up's and down's within his journey, the importance of focusing on the positives within his career, and the excitement he has as he celebrates the release of his new album, Even if it Breaks Your Barefoot Friday Night, a record filled with his re-imagined hits as a songwriting and artist.
