Description
Kolby Cooper is an up-and-coming artist out of Texas who recently released his new album "Boy From Anderson County to the Moon". Kolby joins Country Music Made Me to discuss growing up in a small farming community with a population of 30 people, the impact his Dad had on his love of Country Music, and how important music was in allowing him to overcome the pain of losing his father to brain cancer when he was 14. Kolby and Brendan talk about the memories he has from long drives with his Dad hauling cattle, his progression as an artist after learning the guitar in his early teens, and how quickly his career took off after the release of his debut EP only a few months after high school. Kolby explains the process of creating his new album "Boy From Anderson County to the Moon", what it's been like working with producer Philip Mosley ever since his debut single in 2017, and what it means to be making his Grand Ole Opry debut.
