“My best friend had toxic/NPD tendencies. We were friends for 8 years and losing the closeness with her this past year due to some chaotic events happened crushed my world and really hurt me emotionally. I was looking for words of encouragement and found this podcast and his tik tok account. It has really helped me heal and find peace. Now whenever I breakdown emotionally I remember his words “did we go through that or did you put me through that?” (listen to his episodes for context on that saying). Lee Hammocks content is an amazing tool to have and to pair with the professional help you’re receiving because Lee gives you insight to the things a licensed professional will talk about. Your therapist may say “I have a feeling your narcissist is treating everyone the way they treat you eventually.” And you might not totally believe it, but then Lee comes in and says “I’m a self-aware narcissist and I can tell you this is not the first time your narcissist has treated someone poorly.” It’s great, his podcasts are the closure you may never have received.”
