“Another great review Ian & Lachy.
Agree with your analysis.
Few things I wanted to say:
1. Agree that we play too nice. Hate to say it, but I wish we played like Collingwood who are ruthless and never give up. They are so confident in their team despite having injuries (I.e. no number 1 ruckman for a few weeks). They’re tough and they make you earn your possession.
2. Agree Voss needs to be a bit more firm at the pressers. Stuff the media, give them nothing and maybe take a leaf out of Bill Belichick’s (Patriots) book and control the presser. Say that we weren’t good enough / be upfront about our performance, but don’t feel like you have to explain yourself in regards to finals, etc. If Bill doesn’t like the question or if it gets repeated, he’ll say “I’ve already answered that” or “we’re onto the next game.”
3. I want to see Voss’ playing style in the Blues.
I thought we were going to get a tough team once Voss became coach and we were going to play like he did. Not seeing it. Why is that? Do we have players that can’t be tough?
4. So many disposals but they don’t achieve anything with them. So frustrating to know we get the ball and waste it.
5. Why do we care so much? Because we see the potential in this team when they’re on… I just wish the players see it too.
Keep up the great work guys. AB.”
