This penultimate lecture by #renaldomckenzie for the course, Caribbean Thought Jamaica Theological Seminary last week's film, "Life and Debt" was reviewed and discussed briefly. The students discussed the film's impact on their analysis of the #caribbean's socioeconomic history with the Lecturer. Prof. McKenzie discussed this new music genre in the Caribbean and commented on black Israelites. In the final 20 minutes of the video, we discuss Corruption in the Caribbean and the idea that the CPI shows that the dirtiest countries are post-colonial or places with a demographic of black and brown people. Prof. Renaldo explained what the CPI was and showed a video by the NIA Jamaica on the cost of corruption, highlighting that Jamaica's and the #caribbean development is not only the result of the IMF or international players but corrupt public officials.
