The David Remnick Hour
I’m glad the New Yorker brought back the politics podcast. This one is too much of a hodgepodge of “real stuff” and whimsy. Sometimes you’re in the mood for one or the other, but rarely both. Also, Mr. Remnick is a great magazine editor, but I can’t stand listening to him. Some people just have smug voices. He spends way too much time talking, whereas I’m more interested in the contributors. I’ll keep reading the magazine, instead.

One star for content. This podcast is a total waste of time and resources. Nothing more interesting to talk about than surfing off Rockaway or some guy who is really good at telling the difference between a penny and gum on the sidewalk? These quiet times in the world sure are boring.

Huge improvement over Out Loud's last series of dry, banal conversations. Political Scene needs to broadcast exclusive content—Jorge Ramos in both podcasts made one wonder if The PS is not redundant in parallel to this new, consolidated format.Read full review »

Went back and listened through the catalog and there are some incredible guests here from Lena Dunham to Ta-Nehisi Coates and Lin Manuel Miranda. Also love their narrative journalism and fun vignettes.
