Excellent for Hardcore PJO Fans and Newcomers!
Extremely long review incoming! First of all, I remembered Mike from a phase where I binged some of the Potterless podcast episodes but lost interest in the series at a certain point (I think we all know why) and so stopped listening to the podcast. I happened to be talking to a friend about PJO and they recommended this podcast and I was like oh ok I know this guy and decided to give it a listen. For context, I am a HUGE Percy Jackson fan. I remember finding and reading the books in middle school and literally staying up through the night on a school night because I could not put the books down and going to school the next day on no sleep and still just reading the books during class because I couldn’t stop. I still have my original copies from 2006. Anyway long story short I am a huge fan of these books and this podcast is everything I’ve ever wanted for the series. Once I started listening to episodes it’s the same scenario where I’ve been binging them and I’m actually almost done and only have a few left so now I’m trying to take it slow because omg I don’t want to be caught up. I’ve been deliberately going on more walks or going on the treadmill just to have an excuse to listen to more episodes. But I really appreciate how thorough Mike is, how funny the commentary is (I audibly laugh when listening quite often) and also the range of speakers. I honestly don’t really listen to a lot of podcasts but I love this one. ALSO! Hades the video game. Never heard of it before this but Mike talked about it so much in the beginning I was like ok I have to play this. Literally downloaded the game and now I play while listening to episodes in the background. Just recently beat Hades for the first time and it’s a very fun game. Once I finish the podcast I plan on joining the Patreon so I can watch the Hades livestream. I know Mike is still on book 4 but very excited by how much juicy content is still left out there (Book 5 plus the entire HOO series which I actually need to re-read as well). Anyway thanks for the great podcast!! As a very long time PJO fan it makes me very happy to see the fan community thriving and this podcast plays a big part! Highly recommend to anyone interested or on the fence about listening.

I’m so tired of the host getting offended at every little thing. Whenever a country or person is mentioned the host goes on and on about how he “doesn’t know how to feel” as in “I don’t know how society will accept me if I say something”. He’s just trying so hard and it is super annoying....Read full review »
