Good pod but too broad a subject matter
Trying to provides service to so many clubs and so many leagues is a tall order. Spending 15 to 20 minutes every episode on Dave Anderson’s latest anecdote doesn’t help matters either. There is an overbearing London dominance in their reporting. This makes sense as the budget and time constraints demand it but there doesn’t seem to be any effort into changing that. Worse than that it feels like they don’t make much of an effort when they do. Harry Williams the Chairman of Ramsbottom United for almost 60 years was called Harry Wheeler for the duration of the segment. An honest mistake but are you a good media production to repeatedly get the name of the subject wrong? The pod should be simplified. If they want to do the London based non league football show then go ahead and do that and interview the England Futsal captain all they want. But trying to be an umbrella for all underrepresented forms of football is too big a task for a single podcast to achieve and interviewing your mates creates resentment for those of us on the outside. I’d love to see this expand to be a network, regionalised perhaps and that would give everyone a better chance to be represented and heard.

Defintely improving with the new host. Last one had too many lame jokes and seemed to think it was about her and not the game

I just can’t stand the self satisfying smug tripe that “Swampy” comes out with everything he is on. Even the mention of his name brings shudders. Had enough now. I’ll come back...Read full review »
