“Steven creates an incredible podcast that is almost never about himself. I’m not sure if he is skilled at finding interesting guests, or has the superpower of showcasing how interesting any ordinary person actually is. Some of his best episodes have been with relatively obscure climbers, e.g. Jasna Hodzic and Carlos Tkacz. The chemistry Steven builds with his guests makes for a natural and deep conversation. Steven always does his homework, he prepares questions, precalls guests, reads through their content and listens to other podcasts they were featured in. This preparation is noticed and appreciated. The audio is remarkably good for a single person working out of a van and phone calls. Steven’s talent and hard work makes this show excellent despite it’s young age, especially in contrast to the more established podcasts in the same space.
He could work on keeping podcasts shorter. 90 minutes would be better than his occasional 150. Training information could also be separated into separate episodes from personal interviews.”
