One comment, I love loud audio just as much as the next guy, but digital clipping sounds horrid. here's something to try: keep your levels below zero pre master fader and at the master fader. if it still isn't loud enough, use a limiter on the master bus to get it back up to zero. I mix a lot. In a mix if my sources are recorded at near 0dB digital scale my average fader level is -12dB going into the mix bus where a limiter reduces the dynamic range and increases the level to one desired. I also find the TT dynamic range meter to be indispensable. the middle section especially in finding the dynamic level competitive with other productions. better sound makes this a five star production.
