The NOW Normal: Holly Whitaker Is The Only One Who Thinks We’re All Going To Quit Drinking
Listen now
Description
January 2021 marks the ninth month of a pandemic. Drinking (day and otherwise) has skyrocketed, and for people in recovery, relapsing (drinking again after one has set a sobriety date) has too. So just how does one retain or regain their balance in recovery during this perilous time? Today we have my dear, dear friend and woman of the hour, Holly Whitaker. Holly’s best-selling book, Quit Like A Woman, a memoir/self-help book about her own recovery was released one year ago and the paperback launches this week. Holly is the founder and CEO of Tempest (formerly Hip Sobriety). With years of experience in the fields of healthcare and tech, she created a human-centered recovery modality and virtual platform offering education, community, and support services, in 2014. Holly has been featured in the New York Times, Vogue, and TechCrunch and was named in Inc’s 2019 Female Founders 100 List.
