“I am loving all your recent content Osher. Your honesty about your own self is really refreshing to listen to for me. I’ve suffered PTSD, have a daughter who was finally diagnosed with severe anxiety at age 11 and everyday I tried to keep up the impression that I had it all under control. Now my daughter is 21 and just recently seems to really be controlling her thoughts and feelings. Your podcasts have helped me to keep my own mental health in check and also cope better with her erratic emotions and that horrible fight or flight reaction.
I’ve today listened to your recent episode on weight loss and the effectiveness of dieting. I underwent WLS surgery only 13 weeks ago and have lost over 30kgs, but the podcast has improved my perspective on this process. I’m now not so focused on moving all the weight today. This is my final game and as long as I keep loosing, I don’t care how long it takes. I started at 184.6kg so it’s going to take time. I’m not going anywhere so I have that time.
To anyone reading this WLS surgery is not easy, nor is it the easy choice and quick fix. It’s still hard work and my life can never return to what it was, so mentally you need to understand that food, especially EAT-tertainment will no longer be or mean what it once did.
Stacey”
