I read Dr. Osterholm’s prescient article on pandemic risks in July 2005. It shaped my thinking and provide some of the call to arms that we worked on in the federal government at the time. This podcast captures the straight talk and perspicuity that we all have come to expect of this sage man.

I lived in MN for decades and can recall seeing Dr. Osterholm on the evening news and the like (back when I think he was the state epidemiologist) and I was extremely impressed with his ability to explain complicated topics in common-sense language.
