“I absolutely love this podcast so far. The production is fantastic, the voice acting is incredible and the writing is so so good. Scifi and horror has had a very long history of criticizing power structures and turning the surreal and horrific to political. Sci-fi is uniquely positioned to criticize and analyze the problems of our current society and it’s why I love the genre so much. Some of the best sci-fi writers have been women and my favorite sci-fi writer is Octavia Butler but sadly I am having a hard time finding much women, queer and bipoc sci-fi and horror podcast so I was so excited to come across this.It definitely wears a lot of its influences on its sleeve but it does it in a way that’s unique enough that it isn’t distracting. I find it really funny While reading the reviews that some people are criticizing its political nature. Clearly they don’t know much about sci-fi writing if they’re upset that this podcast is political. Ha ha ha. Anyways it is fantastic. I really love that not only the protagonist is a black woman but it also doesn’t flatten racial issues that exist currently and will undoubtably still exist in this future timeline. I also like the class-consciousness of it. Yeah I really can’t rave about this more it’s so good and I can’t wait to see where it goes. Again on top of the excellent writing the voice actors are really fantastic and the sound design is really good. This is definitely some fancy stuff and I can tell a lot of love has been put into it. Quickly becoming one of my favorite podcast. I need more podcasts like this please!!!”
