The One About Being Intersex with Katrina Wood
Listen now
Description
At 16, Katrina found out a shocking discovery - she was under the umbrella of “intersex”. Intersex is a general term used for a variety of conditions in which a person is born with a reproductive or sexual anatomy that doesn’t seem to fit the typical definitions of female or male (via Intersex Society of North America). Katrina’s discovery came with a wave of reality when it came to fertility, and searching for a community that was hard to find. With so much misunderstanding around Intersex, Katrina now shares her story to help others who may have be Intersex as well (around 2% of the population) not feel so alone.  Katrina is the owner of @eco.refillary.com and @innascents Content: discussions of sex/gender/fertility throughout this episode See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
