Description
Joel and Kim are back to catch up on all the Round 2 action from the Australian Open, which saw a 03:40am finish for Daniil Medvedev, the longest tiebreak in women’s Grand Slam history and a storming victory for young talent Mirra Andreeva over Ons Jabeur. With Elena Rybakina falling in epic fashion to Anna Blinkova, Iga Swiatek saving the day against Danielle Collins, and Jessie Pegula and Maria Sakkari falling in straight sets to unseeded opponents, it has been a topsy-turvy round for female seeds.  Meanwhile, Novak Djokovic came through a rough 4 set battle with Aussie Alexei Popyrin (and the crowd!), Daniil Medvedev played all night to comeback in 5 and Holger Rune’s tournament hopes end ed at the hands of French wildcard Arthur Cazaux. They also touch upon the introduction of a ‘party court’ at the AO, and the recent announcement of Rafa Nadal as the Saudi Tennis Federation Ambassador.
